Away for too long!

Wel.... I've decided it's been too long since I've been on! Things have been very busy around here with my roles, family and work! I will definitely be taking more time to blog from now on! I'm getting ready to go through my coupon bag (lol) and figure out my grocery list! I need to take my bag and turn it back into my notebook! Hopefully, I will start on that today! HAd a great Thanksgiving with my family!

New Title Now- Drum Roll...... PTO President

Wow now I'm the new PTO President at my son's school... and boy we have a lot to do! Have a great VP and Sec./Treasurer. We met a week ago to plan everything for Sept. and Oct. Some great activities and fundraisers planned. We just hope that we will have the great turn out to do all of the wonderful things for the school. Just want to make the school a better place for all.

I started thinking I guess everything that we do is for our kids...even when we have a night out. Basically then I am refreshing myself so that I can tackle the next new endeavor for our family. Nights out seem to also revolve around family activities, or at least in my house they do. Today is my birthday, so I will be celebrating with my family! What a better way!

What Hats We Wear!

I just thought to myself today..... (amazingly enough) I wear at least 4 hats in my household..... First I'm mom, a wife, a chauffeur and also a professional since I work part-time. Still trying to get a grip on this year of how to blend them all. My oldest DS is now in kindergarten, so now chauffeur is added since I have to take and pick him up from school. I am slowly working on how to blend all of these hats together to work cohesively..... 2nd week of school and most of my hats are working together! Time will tell. How do you mesh with all of your hats?

Couponing?

I never thought I'd be one of those moms who couponed! Well.... ha! I'm hooked! I'm not coupon crazy, but I love getting a good cheap deal! I really get excited at the grocery when I save more than 50% and that doesn't happen too often. These days any way to save money is great! Many wonderful blogs out there that have deals and coupons matched up! Have a great night!

Ways to make myself better!

Decided that I am going to try and learn something new to better myself. Maybe learn spanish... how to knit.... try an indoor soccer league for adults.... book club.... The world is my oyster isn't it? I really want to try something new or improve knowledge that I have... We'll see.

Inspiration!

Have any of you seen Julie and Julia yet? Wow what a great movie! This is my inspiration for starting this blog..... Just thought about that moms sometimes lose their identities as a person besides being a mom. Many times when someone asks me about what I've been doing it's really about the kids and what we have done with them! My trek over the next year is to find something new to help define me as that person! It might be volunteering, reading that book that I've been meaning to read, going to dinner with friends, window shopping by myself, or just taking a well deserved walk in my neighborhood with a friend! My challenge for myself.... and also to get into shape! Always need that!
